Daycare/Preschool Music Teacher

Position: Daycare/Preschool Music InstructorLocation: Columbus AreaType: Part-Time Contractor

Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Music Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and children, along with the ability to create a fun and engaging learning environment. Instructors travel to daycare/preschool centers in the Columbus area to teach music classes that are 20-30 minutes long. Shifts at each location are between 2-4 hours. All instructors are given paid training as well as a comprehensive curriculum to use in their classes.

Current shift openings: We are looking for people with availability 1-5 mornings a week, or may have some afternoon shift opportunities for the right candidate. We are looking for instructors to join us for a long term relationship AND looking for summer only instructors.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging music lessons tailored to young children in daycare and preschool settings.
• Foster a joyful and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe and excited to learn
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and developmental stages.
• Encourage and support children’s musical growth, creativity, and self-expression.
• Maintain integrity and honesty in all interactions with children, parents, and staff.
• Ensure timeliness and consistency in lesson delivery and attendance.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child’s progress and any upcoming music events or performances.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• A joyful demeanor and a passion for working with young children necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Reliable transportation to travel between different daycare/preschool locations.
• Commitment to the values of integrity, honesty, and timeliness.
• A background in music, early childhood education, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching music to young children is highly desirable.
• Strong musical skills, including proficiency in one or more instruments preferred.
