Job Responsibilities:
Responsible coordinating the collection and management of Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) data, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) guidelines. Responsible for the transmission of PPS/PAI (Patient Assessment Instrument) data to CMS in compliance with both federal and Texas state regulations for inpatient rehabilitation facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing IRF-PAI data collection, transmittals, and corrections.
- Coordinating issue resolution related to Section GG scoring.
- Conducting ongoing reviews of IRF-PAI data to maintain accuracy.
- IRF-PAI completion.
- Providing staff education to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Current Texas licensure/certification in one of the following fields: nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, or occupational therapy.
- Must be a Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Licensed Physical Therapist, Speech Pathologist, or Registered Nurse
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-year recent clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation.
- At least 1 year of experience coordinating the Prospective Payment System (PPS) and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI).
- Comprehensive understanding of CMS and Texas state regulations for inpatient rehabilitation.
