What You’ll Do:
- Assist the Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and quality during service
- Help with menu planning, recipe development, and executing new dishes
- Manage all kitchen stations, ensuring efficiency and high food standards
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing training to elevate their skills
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper food handling and storage procedures
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times
- Coordinate and supervise prep work to ensure readiness for service
- Solve operational challenges quickly, keeping service on track
- Contribute to minimizing food waste through portion control and efficient ingredient use
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a professional kitchen setting, ideally in a leadership role
Skills: Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food prep, and safety standards
Attitude: Passion for leading and developing a team, with excellent communication skills
Work Ethic: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Safety Conscious: Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
