Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has a passion for learning, is client-focused, and is ready to take the next step in their career. This includes:
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a practice management role, preferably in a small private veterinary practice.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this role.
- HR & Payroll Experience: Strong understanding of HR processes, benefits, and payroll management.
- AAHA Certification Familiarity: Knowledge of and experience working with AAHA standards and certification.
- Leadership: Ability to motivate, lead, and maintain a positive work culture in a team-oriented environment.
- Organization & Time Management: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
- Veterinary/Medical Background: Previous experience in a veterinary practice or medical environment is a plus.
Your Role and Impact
As part of our dedicated team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the standard of care we provide. This includes:
- Oversee all HR management tasks, including coordinating benefits, preparing payroll, and ensuring legal compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure that the practice consistently meets and maintains AAHA certification standards to provide top-quality care.
- Manage inventory by handling ordering, unpacking, and ensuring it is accurately entered into the system, while also overseeing equipment maintenance and liaising with vendors and repair companies.
- Act as the primary point of communication between the head technician, the IT company, and the hospital owner to ensure smooth operations.
- Organize and facilitate individual team reviews, regular staff meetings, and work closely with the hospital owner to coordinate annual and 90-day performance reviews.
- Support the team in setting and achieving SMART goals, fostering personal development, and ensuring continuous growth in both professional and non-work-related areas.
