Overview
We seek a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in Home Setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of anatomy and geriatrics, and the ability to work effectively within a team to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist with patient assessments and document vital signs accurately.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and coding.
- Participate in training new staff members in sterile processing techniques and patient care procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in clinical settings, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, geriatrics, and basic nursing principles.
- Ability to lift patients safely using proper techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems; familiarity with eClinicalWorks is advantageous.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining patient confidentiality.
