We’re Hiring: Pastry Chef
Beyond Pastry Studio is a contemporary, Filipino-inspired bakery known for thoughtful flavor combinations and creative execution. We’re looking for an experienced, skilled, and grounded Pastry Chef to help lead our kitchen and continue pushing our work forward.
This role is ideal for someone with strong production skills and management experience, someone ready to take ownership of the kitchen alongside our small but dedicated team. You’ll be filling in for the current chef/owner on daily responsibilities, with room to grow creatively and operationally.
This is not an entry-level position.
Applicants must have a verifiable track record in commercial pastry kitchens and strong foundations in laminated doughs, bread baking, and dessert development.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations and team productivity
Maintain quality, consistency, and timing across all pastry and bread production
Contribute to seasonal menu development that aligns with our market and brand.
Assist with inventory, ordering, and kitchen planning
Lead with respect, clear communication, and an eye for efficiency
Uphold cleanliness, safety, and food standards at all times
Train and mentor team members with a hands-on leadership style
What You Bring:
Strong foundation in pastry and bread production, and laminated doughs
Proven experience in bakery or pastry kitchen management
A deep understanding of recipe development, scaling, and seasonal planning
A proactive mindset: you stay ahead of the work, solve problems quickly, and maintain high standards
Familiarity with Filipino flavors or a curiosity to explore and elevate them
Dependability, initiative, and a collaborative leadership style
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
