Beyond Payroll and HCM is looking to hire a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our growing team specializing in cutting-edge SaaS-based Human Capital Management and highly personalized support. Our clients utilize our powerful cloud-based HCM Platform to manage the entire employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, time, benefits, payroll, and labor analytics. The Payroll Specialist will oversee client accounts, input payroll data, cut payroll checks, generate payroll reports, and be the key point person for our clients' payroll and software issues.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
You will receive an attractive hourly rate of $23.00-$25.00 plus potential quarterly bonuses. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Must be extremely tech-savvy!
- Passion for helping small businesses succeed!
- 2 years' experience in a customer-facing role (Any customer service or tech support experience is helpful!)
- Industry-specific payroll experience is preferred but not required.
- An exceptional attitude and a natural ability to work effectively in a client-focused environment is a must.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented & able to work effectively under deadlines.
- Ability and desire to take responsibility for your work with limited supervision.
- Desire to learn and grow your payroll, HR, HCM, performance management, and benefit skills to drive our clients' engagement, productivity, and business value!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Proactively monitor, validate, and act on any highlighted concerns in each payroll run
- Communicate payroll status effectively and concisely both internally and externally to the client.
- Be able to troubleshoot payroll problems as they arise and know when to use available resources for assistance.
- Ensure accurate delivery of payroll to clients when printing, sorting, and sealing checks
- Strive to form long-lasting working relationships with clients
- Understand the impact of service quality on client satisfaction and client retention
- Attend all available training opportunities to further your knowledge base via on-site and virtual opportunities
- Respond to customer calls and emails within our promised 2-hour window to resolve the majority of those issues within 24 hours
- Respond clearly and concisely with actionable instructions via email or phone conversations. Using screenshots, learning documents, and tutorial videos showing your willingness to help your clients.

This full-time position will report daily to our Virginia Beach HQ. We take the guesswork out of payroll tasks and strive to care for the full life cycle of our client's employees.
