Beyond20 is seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Lead to manage IT and Audio-Visual (AV) support services for a DoD customer. This role will lead a team of technical professionals to maintain and operate a closed DoD network, ensuring continuity of service, compliance with DoD standards, and timely upgrades to improve system performance and integrity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer service mindset, proven leadership abilities, and technical expertise to excel in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- IT and AV Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of IT and AV systems, ensuring availability, security, and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, dispatch technicians, and resolve escalated trouble tickets.
- Oversight of upgrades and maintain system integrity in compliance with DoD regulations.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of IT and AV support staff.
- Manage personnel schedules to minimize service disruptions and maximize efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, meeting contract demands on time or ahead of schedule.
- Quick-thinking, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Project and Operations Management:
- Track project progress, work orders, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor ongoing projects, mitigate risks, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with contract certification and training requirements for all team members.
- Compile and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports/deliverables to key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including IT operations and maintenance (O&M) projects.
- Proven experience managing technical support teams.
- Help desk experience and familiarity with Army-specific IT systems.
- Ability to multitask, manage challenging situations, and lead a team effectively.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with classroom or training center IT and AV support.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work with small IT/AV hardware components
- Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document work professionally.
- Experience tracking and reporting on deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Nice-to-Haves Qualifications:
- PMP® or ITIL® certification.
- Security certification and active security clearance.
- Experience with VMware vSphere 7, Cisco CCNP, or advanced networking certifications.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with transitions and system upgrades.
