Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary:

The position will perform basic financial functions in compliance with established processes and systems.

Primary Responsibilities

·        Input financial transactions into the company’s ERP system in a timely manner to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate and up to date

·        Process vendor payments in a timely manner, including both electronic payments and check runs

·        Process reimbursement and credit card transactions for employee travel and other expenses

·        Support monthly close process by entering all Credit card charges, reimbursements and vendor bills incurred.

·        Process Accounts Payables and monthly accruals.

·        Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports

·        Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time

Desired Experience and Education

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must, prefer a Master’s degree in accounting

·        Minimum of 1year responsible accounting and/or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, bank reconciliation, expenditures, payroll and general ledger

·        Ability to process payroll is preferred

·        Proficiency in ERP and MS Office

·        Basic knowledge of US GAAP is required

·        Active CPA license, or progress towards CPA licensure, is preferred

·        Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism

·        Ability to maintain confidential information

·        Outstanding written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills

·        Prior experience in Life Science company preferred

·        Well organized, detail oriented

·        Bilingual preferred (English & Chinese)
