LEASING SPECIALIST
We are looking for a full-time Leasing Specialist to join our management team at our beautiful apartment community in the Kansas City, Missouri area. This person must have a positive mindset, be creative, prioritize tasks, pay attention to detail, resolve conflict and perform under pressure.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Show units and assist with screening applicants.
- Review applications, prepare lease documents and close lease transactions.
- Prepare apartment homes for new move-ins.
- Assist Community Manager in promoting and advertising the community including creating and posting branded social media content.
- Ensure a professional appearance and manner for oneself.
- Maintain a good rapport with the residents including knowing and using their names, responding to all resident requests efficiently and courteously and resolving conflicts promptly
- Assist with maintaining a CLEAN, organized, and inviting office, back-office space, bathrooms, models, resident lounge, fitness center, and any other common areas
- Follow all OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) and company safety standards, procedures and policies
- Assist in implementing the resident retention program including newsletters, resident referral programs, and social activities.
- Remain knowledgeable about current market issues and technology.
- Assist Community Manager in any other duties as needed to obtain community and company objectives, including preparation of statistical and financial reports and rent collections.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous multi-family housing experience and sales preferred
- Communication skills and style that create a positive professional and positive customer service culture.
- Strong literacy skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams, as well as other fundamental office programs (Adobe, DocuSign, etc.).
- Demonstrate strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to diffuse and respond to resident concerns to avoid escalation of a problem.
- Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents.
- Present self in a neat, clean and professional manner always throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
- Yardi experience is a plus.
Salary:
Competitive base pay - Determined on experience, plus commissions and bonus incentive.
