Job Purpose
Responsible for the process of blending and receiving various raw materials while adhering to all applicable regulations and compliance policies within the department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Adheres to company policies and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.
- Batch product and complete all documentation in support of production.
- Load and unload incoming tanker trucks.
- Acquire operational knowledge of blending and fluid transfers.
- Maintain awareness of Blending Center / Production issues affecting output, quality and yields.
- Manage the process to transfer fluid to bulk storage or packaging lines.
- Inspect work areas, tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions; and follow up with necessary repairs and resolution procedures.
- Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform operator maintenance on blending equipment and troubleshoots and notify maintenance of needed equipment repairs.
- Maintain inventory and other information when necessary, by climbing and gauging tanks and sampling product.
- Must follow strict safety rules.
- Will work overtime as needed.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) year technical degree preferred.
- Six (6) months of experience with a forklift, hand truck, or other material handling equipment preferred.
- Prior blending or manufacturing experience, ability to read PNID’s, strong computer skills, Microsoft outlook, excel, and scanner experience all strongly preferred.

Knowledge
- Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Mechanical Aptitude Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and modification settings.
- Operations Monitoring Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Monitor and calculating formulas to ensure proper specification of finished products and control variable adjustments.
- Quality Control Analysis Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Troubleshooting Ability to recognize operation issues and diagnose potential solutions.
- Understanding of functional process control, reading PNID’s, and chemical blending.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to machining, moving mechanical parts, and / or work near others.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is performed in both an indoor, clean work environment without air conditioning and minimal heating as well as outside in all weather conditions, subject to work on elevated platforms.
Employees are required to wear safety glasses and all appropriate PPE to prevent exposure or injury while performing job duties.
Must be able to work at heights of up to 60’ while wearing a safety harness per safety requirements. Evening, weekend, and / or OT work may be required as job duties demands.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. This position requires a normal range of hearing and clear speaking abilities to interact appropriately with others in person and by two-way radio.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, twist, balance, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, bend and is subject to repetitive motion.
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move not to exceed 75-80 pounds. Filling, rolling, or moving filled drums with assistance, with weights in excess of
400 pounds.
