Position Overview
The Contract Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the creation, negotiation, and administration of contracts for the organization. This role ensures that all contractual agreements are compliant with applicable laws and regulations, while safeguarding the BGB Group’s interests. The Contract Specialist works closely with internal teams, third parties, and outside counsel as necessary to facilitate smooth and effective contract execution.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring onsite collaboration. The role will be based out of our office located in New York City. All candidates must willing to commute into the office on a regular basis.

Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts including supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements, service contracts, partnership agreements, and customer agreements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure contracts meet company requirements and are aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to contracts.
- Analyze contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and liabilities and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
- Communicate with suppliers, partners, clients, and external stakeholders to clarify terms, address concerns, and resolve issues related to contracts, as necessary.
- Maintain and update contracts within Ironclad, BGB Groups contract management system, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and tracked.
- Prepare and present reports regarding contract status, compliance, and any legal or financial issues.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on contract management best practices and legal considerations.
- Support the contract renewal process, ensuring timely updates and amendments as necessary.
- Partner with outside legal team to review contracts and mitigate risk.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in contract management, contract law, or procurement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and principles.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Certification in contract management (e.g., Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or equivalent).
- Paralegal certification from an accredited program (e.g., NALA, NFPA, etc.).
- Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
- Prior pharmaceutical industry experience.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
