The Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced IT Technician to join our dynamic IT department. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments. You will be instrumental in maintaining IT infrastructure, delivering high-quality technical support, managing network and system security, and advancing technology initiatives across BGC.

Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and optimize workstations, laptops, and user environments for optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues using analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Utilize helpdesk systems efficiently while adhering to ITIL processes and service management best practices.
- Administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint and mobile device management (MDM), including device enrollment, software packaging and deployment, security policy enforcement, and compliance reporting.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot Intune MDM configurations, device policies, and software distribution strategies to ensure consistent device management and security standards across the organization.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols, ensuring systems are secure and monitored for potential threats.
- Support audiovisual systems, conferencing tools, and IT needs for boardrooms, meeting spaces, and remote collaboration.
- Provide after-hours support when necessary to maintain business continuity.
- Participate in planning, implementing, and supporting new technologies and infrastructure projects.
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
- 7 years of relevant IT experience in medium to large-sized enterprise environments.
- Post-secondary education or certifications in IT (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) or equivalent training.
- Proven experience in deploying and managing Windows and macOS workstations and laptops.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Proficient with ITIL frameworks and helpdesk platforms such as Freshservice, Jira, or ServiceNow.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, VPNs, wireless networking, and infrastructure management.
- Experience managing servers, virtualization, and Azure hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, identity and access management, and threat detection.
- Familiarity with AV systems and video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, including MDM, software deployment, and device compliance management, is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and make informed decisions.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support remote offices.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 CAD per annum, however base pay will be commensurate with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. BGC's compensation package also includes a training allowance and a comprehensive medical and dental plan.
