Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- 4 years of relevant experience successfully growing revenue
- Proven track record of developing and executing business development plans
- Possess a deep understanding of the revenue acquisition lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting proposal development, including solution development, writing, reviewing, and compliance checks
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple lead and opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Confidence in engaging in business development and sales activities
- Strong writing, research, and compliance skills
- Solid communication and collaboration skills
- Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities
- Lead sales activities, opportunity and proposal reviews
- Present multiple lines of business for the same organization
- Identify and qualify legitimate business opportunities, providing a consultative and value-added approach to develop relationships
- Expand sales opportunities by leveraging various contracting vehicles
- Identify, qualify, develop capture strategies and proposal win themes
- Develop new subcontracting and teaming opportunities with larger prime contractors and strategic teaming partners
- Prepare Bid, No-Bid, Gap Analysis and Shape opportunities to increase win probability.
- Maintain complete action item tasks and opportunity pipeline capture efforts to ensure continuity of communication and actions across diverse team members
- Brief leadership at specified milestones in the capture process
- Conduct after action reviews for all contracts and to document lessons learned while identifying the necessary adjustments to capture techniques, strategy, and actions
- Work closely with leadership to develop, coordinate, and implement cohesive short- and long-term sales and business development strategies within target organizations
- Establish long-term relationships and partnerships with executives in the Federal government. As well as established long-term relationships with strategic teaming partners
- Assist in negotiating contractual terms and conditions
- Work with the Project Management Office to ensure smooth handoffs from sales to operations
- Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs
- Develops and executes strategic plans to drive growth, innovation, and long-term success for the company and its capabilities
- Identify and prioritize key initiatives that align with the organization’s goals and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans
- Analyze and recommend emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, and competitive threats
- Develop and maintain relationships with top management and stakeholders
- Ensures that all communications meets company standards and guidelines, demonstrates past performances, and is consistent in style, tone, and formatting
- Works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to understand complex information to develop, edit, and format materials to ensure solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria are met with compliance and while demonstrating the company’s relevant capabilities, approach, and expertise
- Creates and translates technical or complicated documentation that is clear, concise, and easy to understand for a diverse range of audiences with varying technical expertise
- Stays current with industry developments and best practices by researching topics through various means and communicating with technical specialists and SMEs
- Ensures that the work is accessible to its users and advise on the best means of information delivery to the audience
- Interacts effectively, verbally and in writing, with senior leadership and team members, opportunity owners, and others throughout the business development lifecycle.
