Key Duties & Responsibilities
Team Management
- Evaluate and update areas of specialty competencies required within the Install department to complete quality work in a consistent manner meeting or exceeding customer expectation.
- Ensure staffing requirements on target and recruit, interview, select, onboard, and train new team members.
- Monitor on-going training and skills development of team members.
- Communicate performance expectations and provide performance feedback to teams and individuals.
- Share company goals, policies, plans and priorities in formal and informal communication.
- Recommend professional training and support team member career planning.
- Partner with senior and project managers to define and identify priorities and cascade collaboration of business objectives with team members.
- Highlight and leverage helpful information and best practices.
- Mentor and provide assistance to support service team members nationally.
- Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal business partners.
- Provide leadership and connectivity to corporate services team.
- Participate in cross-functional committees and teams.
- Promote cross functional operational synergies through communication to ensure agreements are successfully managed, opportunities are maximized, and clients are satisfied.
- Act as point of contact for regional or department teams regarding strategy, procurement, resources, and processes.
- Contribute to gathering of client insights to drive strategic product designs.
- Support other teams for cross utilization and implementation of best practices and idea sharing.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to optimize development, design, and delivery of projects focused on client needs and internal efficiencies.
- Act as steward of financial obligations, projects, and company policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processes and structures.
- Communicate the statue of continuous-improvement projects to stakeholders.
- Act as liaison between diverse geographic and departmental groups in the change management process.
- Contribute with team to develop and implement strategy annual planning and future 3 year planning.
- Review processes to prevent business impact and equipment downtime.
- Champion safety focus along with awareness of the environment and sustainability.
- Ensure all safety protocols, policies and regulations are followed consistently.
- Monitor work performed to ensure consistent quality standards of BGIS in work completed.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify cause of any safety or process concerns and implement appropriate problem solving.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Ten years of managerial experience or equivalent time working in a shared services leader role in the construction industry.
- Ability to coordinate budgeting and spending decisions in matrixed organizational structure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Strong team building and training skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

- Cognitive skills required to work in a construction oriented environment including ability to maintain focus, communicate clearly and concisely, respond quickly to requests, follow established processes and ability to complete tasks within targeted time frame to minimize risk of outages or damage to building and high value equipment.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Current valid driver’s license and ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office with reimbursement.
