Job Type : Full-time
Shift Hours : 8 : 30 am – 5 : 30 pm or 9 am – 6 pm, 5 days a week (Weekend availability required)
Pay : $17.00 per hour
Expected Hours : 40 – 45 hours per week

Position Overview :
As an Operations Lead , you will manage the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth sales processes, effective merchandising, and maintaining a high standard of store upkeep. You will be a key player in overseeing shipments, internet orders, and inventory, while also leading a team to ensure operational efficiency. You will assist in visual planning, stocking, and ensuring that all processes run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
Store Operations : Manage daily operations including sales, merchandising, visual displays, and store maintenance.Shipping and Receiving : Process daily shipments, unload truck shipments, and ensure internet orders are shipped accurately and timely.Team Leadership : Direct and coordinate daily tasks of a team of 5 employees, including sales, stock personnel, and cashiers.Merchandising & Visual Maintenance : Oversee product display, ensuring visual standards are met and that shoe bins are stocked and sized properly.Inventory Control : Maintain inventory integrity through accurate processing and shipment of daily receiving and order fulfillment.Task Delegation : Collaborate with management to assign tasks and projects to staff, ensuring the timely completion of daily and long-term objectives.Markdown & Transfers : Oversee markdown projects and recommend inventory transfers to optimize stock levels.Vendor Returns : Maintain processes for returning items to vendors.Compliance & Safety : Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and maintenance procedures.Security Measures : Help ensure the security of the store, following company guidelines and maintaining vigilance.Benefits :

Requirements : Qualifications :
Education / Experience : High school diploma or GED; minimum 4 years of related retail experience and / or training.Supervisory Experience : 1 year of supervisory experience, managing teams of employees (sales, stock, or cashiers).Retail Operations : 1 year of experience in retail operations, including order fulfillment and merchandising.Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach frequently.Skills :
Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both customers and staff, and communicate clearly with team members and management.Mathematical Ability : Competence in calculating discounts, percentages, commissions, and applying basic algebra and geometry.Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges, adapting to changing work conditions and proactively preventing issues.Technology : Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, inventory software, order processing systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and retail management software.Organizational Skills : Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail in managing store inventory, operational processes, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.Customer Service : Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering excellent service and effectively addressing inquiries or concerns related to store operations.Team Collaboration : Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a collaborative attitude in coordinating with other departments and team members.Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and store requirements, with a willingness to take on different tasks as needed in a dynamic retail environment.Physical Stamina : Ability to stand for extended periods and lift / move boxes or merchandise as required, with the stamina to manage the physical demands of a retail operations role.Knowledge of Store Policies : Familiarity with and adherence to store policies and procedures, including understanding safety and security protocols.Work Environment :
Moderate noise level typical of a retail setting.In-person position with a focus on hands-on leadership and day-to-day store operations.Compensation details : 17-17.5 Hourly Wage
