Our telecommunications client located in Columbus, Ohio is seeking for a Director of Human Resources (HR) who will lead all HR functions, ensuring compliance with federal contracting requirements while driving a high-performance and employee-focused culture. This role will develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives, manage talent acquisition and development, and oversee compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.
Location: This position is remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including OFCCP, EEO, FLSA, and FAR regulations.
- Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies to support company growth and government contract requirements.
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems to ensure competitive and compliant offerings.
- Manage employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Direct performance management and professional development initiatives to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, culture, and change management.
- Ensure compliance with security clearance processes and personnel vetting as required for government contracts.
- Partner with finance and operations teams to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 8 years in a government contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal contracting regulations (e.g., OFCCP, FAR, DFARS, EEO compliance).
- Experience in managing security clearances and working with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) preferred.
- Proven ability to lead HR teams and influence senior leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and data-driven HR decision-making.
