Exciting Opportunity: Finance Manager – Capital Markets, M&A, & Strategic Finance (Clean Energy Focus)

We are seeking a Finance Manager with a strong background in investment banking, M&A, and capital markets to join a fast-paced, high-growth energy company. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of financial strategy, managing financial modeling, valuations, and analyzing upstream transactions. The role also includes supporting M&A efforts, strategic analysis, and investor relations, with the exciting opportunity to partner with a pre-IPO organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage complex financial models, including valuation analyses, merger modeling, and corporate finance solutions.
• Support the development of the corporate model and analyze upstream drivers of transactions and day-to-day business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, commercial, treasury, investor relations) on strategic initiatives.
• Conduct industry research and track business development opportunities to support growth strategies.
• Assist in the evaluation of corporate and asset transactions, ensuring the structures align with business objectives.
• Provide senior leadership with financial analysis to support corporate strategies and the execution of strategic projects.
• Prepare investment memos for senior management and board-level presentations.
• Contribute to investor relations efforts, including presentations, press releases, and conference preparations.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or accounting.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within investment banking or private equity in the oil & gas industry (experience in E&P, midstream, or OFS is a plus).
• Strong experience in financial modeling and valuation analysis.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills, and the ability to execute tasks under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
  
  

Desirable Experience

• Background in the clean energy value chain, including renewable energy generation, energy storage, electric grid infrastructure, and energy efficiency.
• Previous exposure to M&A and IPO processes is a plus.
