What are the responsibilities and job description for the Midstream Accountant position at BGSF?
Are you an experienced Midstream Accountant with a background in midstream allocations? We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated professional to join our team and oversee oil and gas production allocations, volume reconciliations, and measurement analysis. This role will provide a key opportunity to work with ProCount, eVin, and Carte while collaborating with field operations and cross-functional teams to optimize production data management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production & Volume Allocations: Analyze, correct, and report daily and monthly production volumes using ProCount and Spotfire.
- Measurement & Data Management: Set up gathering systems for new wells and equipment, reconcile gas, oil, and water volumes, and investigate variances between purchaser statements and production data.
- Midstream Accounting Support: Process PPA’s for midstream systems, prepare regulatory filings (Form P-18, R-3), and support internal/external audits.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work closely with field operators, foremen, and superintendents to improve data accuracy and optimize reporting processes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in production accounting, with a strong background in oil, gas, and NGL allocations. Midstream allocation experience is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ProCount, eVin, Carte, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reconciliation tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Math, Accounting, Computer Science, IT, or Finance (Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered).
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
