Senior Cost Accountant

Are you an experienced Cost Accountant looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Taneytown, MD, supporting operations with financial analysis, project accounting, and cost reporting.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting
- Perform percentage of completion accounting and project cost reporting
- Process journal entries and run balance sheet reconciliations
- Work closely with Project Managers on project margins and cost analysis
- Conduct standard cost roll processes and data analysis for cost trends
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
✔️ 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
✔️ Strong knowledge of standard costing, POC accounting, and fixed assets
✔️ SAP proficiency is required
✔️ Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools
✔️ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
✔️ High level of adaptability and ability to work independently
