About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing and managing cost accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and manufacturing industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis & Reporting: Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins to support financial planning and operational efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory valuation, conduct cycle counts, and ensure proper cost allocations.
• Standard Costing: Develop, maintain, and update standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead. Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing cost forecasts, budgets, and financial models to improve profitability.
• Financial Close & Reconciliations: Support month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve cost efficiencies.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls. Support internal and external audit processes.

Qualifications

• 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial data effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
