Cycle Counter/Shipping Clerk

Communicates with logistics supervisor, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments.

Maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Obtain and process product orders

· Determines method of shipment and prepares bills, invoices, and other shipping documents

· Organizes distribution and shipping of customer orders or any other shipping requests

· Contacts transport companies and suppliers to expedite, trace or return goods that do not conform to specifications or purchase orders

· Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items

· Keep files of goods shipped and received

· Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for managers

· Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling

· Process shipments in SAP /ASNs

· Manage weekly/daily cycle counts

· Maintain inventory accuracy

· -Takes inventory, maintains storage area, organizes, and places stock in storage locations

· Report counts to management

· Assist warehouse in locating materials

· Match items, color, size, and quantity to SAP

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good math and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, must have Excel experience
• Inventory & cycle count experience
• Efficient time management skills.
• Experience with RF scanner / RF system
• Research and reconciliation of discrepancies

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred.
• At least two years of inventory control and shipping experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time.
• Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves when handling box cutters or similar tools.
• Must wear steel toed shoes.
