POSITION SUMMARY: The Grants Managers primary responsibility is to research, draft, prepare, submit, and manage local, state and federal grant proposals and reports that support the organizations strategic goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria. This person serves as the primary grant writer and manager, engages in compliance reporting, and manages all contracting functions related to awarded grants and grant renewals.

What Youll Do

As the Grants Manager, you will be the driving force behind our grant efforts, leading the research, development, and management of local, state, and federal grant proposals. Youll collaborate with key leadership and program teams to secure funding that aligns with our mission and strategic goals.

  • Research and identify new grant opportunities from government agencies, corporations, and private foundations.
  • Craft compelling and high-quality proposals, LOIs, grant narratives, and budgets that tell our story and demonstrate our impact.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, tracking deadlines, and submitting timely reports.
  • Work closely with finance and program teams to align budgets and outcomes with grant funding.
  • Manage contracts related to awarded grants and ensure smooth renewals.
  • Maintain an organized grants calendar and database to track submissions, awards, and reporting.
  • Gather success stories, data, and program updates to strengthen future applications and reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, communications, human services or other applicable field of study.
  • Min. 3 years of experience in grant writing and/or grants management.
  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency using Grants.gov and eRA Commons preferred.
  • Familiarity and experience working with national funders focused on mental health, substance use disorders, domestic violence services and/or related prevention services preferred.
  • English professional proficiency required.
  • Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience.
  • Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • GPC (Grant Professional Certified) a plus but not required.
