School Based Clinician
POSITION SUMMARY: Support the goals of BHcare by providing clinical services based on best practices to individuals at our school-based satellite sites while collaborating with psychiatrist and treatment team in diagnosis and treatment plan.
The locations for this position will be at both Bradley and Irving Elementary School
Accountable and responsible for the following results:
- Serve as primary clinician for caseload.
- Conduct intake assessment/psychosocial evaluations for clients coming through the school entry, urgent referrals and/or scheduled appointments, make necessary referrals and develop initial client-centered treatment plans.
- Assess clients’ abilities, mental health status and substance abuse status, needs and preferences and appropriateness of services.
- Provide emergency assessment crisis intervention. Communicate client needs with hospital emergency rooms and emergency personnel.
- Complete progress notes, documenting progress on service goals and objectives, psychosocial histories, admissions and discharge summaries, and other documentation within the Organization’s guidelines for timeliness.
- Perform supervised urine screening as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between client, family, other organization programs, other parts of the mental health system, other community resources and schools. Provide advocacy as appropriate.
- Provide Circle of Security Parenting and/or Triple P Parenting individually or in groups
- Provide clinical consultation to schools and various community resources
- Assist in supervision of graduate students completing training in the program.
- Provide trauma screenings to grades as assigned
- Provide structured, Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) group therapy in accordance with program policy to assigned children
- Provide Rapid Response Evaluations, grade kindergarten through 12th grade and on-going treatment as needed
- Attends training sessions, workshops, seminars as requested by supervisor, or as needed for professional development, or as required for accreditation or licensing.
- May be required to use own vehicle on company business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in Social Work or related mental health field required.
-
A minimum of one year experience in a psychiatric setting providing therapy to children and families.

Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
- Professional CT Licensure required (LCSW highly preferred, will consider licensed eligible LMSW or other mental health license (e.g., LPC).
Salary : $65,044 - $91,001
