Staff Accountant
Staff Accountant – Power the Mission Through Precision!
BHcare is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our Finance Department with a focus on grant reporting and payroll support. If you’re a detail-driven professional with a passion for numbers and a desire to make a real impact behind the scenes, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Process journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support year-end reporting
- Prepare and submit grant reports and budgets to comply with state, federal, and grantor requirements (including OMB A-133)
- Maintain accurate grant tracking tools such as calendars, receivables spreadsheets, and budget summaries
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate capture of grant-related expenses and payroll data
- Provide backup payroll support, including biweekly payroll processing, orientation on time entry, and payroll reconciliations
- Contribute to special projects, budget preparation, and updates to finance procedures
- Attend trainings and workshops for ongoing professional development
- Assist across the accounting team as needed to ensure smooth financial operations
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Experience: 1–3 years in general accounting; experience with grant reporting and payroll a plus
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft 365 and accounting/budget software; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Mindset: Independent worker, proactive problem solver, and strong team collaborator

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and 1-3 years of related experience in accounting.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Experience using accounting and budget software applications.
- High degree of organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and problem solve.
Salary : $29 - $40
