Your Role The Opportunity
The Architect is responsible for leading the design and technical process for multiple small to medium-sized projects within the Higher Education market. You will have the opportunity to assist in assembling project teams, developing project budgets, setting and managing schedules, and delivering projects that positively impact people.
The Role Priorities
- Manage the client, consultants, and project staff through the project process on multiple medium and small projects.
- Manage project assignments and execution aligned with the work plan and with the BHDP Design Process to achieve project goals.
- Utilize operational management tools, including workload forecasting, resource planning, and project team development for assigned projects.
- Assist in the selection and management of appropriate consultants and internal resources for projects.
- Coach, mentor, and develop project staff and direct reports to support employees’ professional development.
- Create and foster relationships with key client contacts, manage client expectations, and identify opportunities for future opportunities for partnerships.
- Apply interpersonal communication skills to build strong working relationships, resolve challenges, and motivate the project team.
- Collaborate across other disciplines with internal and external team members.
Skills Qualifications
- A professional, accredited degree in Architecture is preferred, along with a professional registration.
- 5 years of experience in the design and architecture industry is required.
- Experience with commercial design is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of advanced technology (e.g. Deltek Vantagepoint, Revit, Sketch-Up)
- A drive to achieve extraordinary and consistent results.
