This role is responsible for time keeping management as well as processing necessary information to complete company payroll.
This position has the opportunity to be a part-time or full-time role as well as hybrid.
Prepare, process and implement payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees for multiple business units with employees in multiple states.
Work with operations on timely collection under time & attendance systems Make changes and updates within the system as required Calculate wages, overtime and deductions to ensure compliance with federal and state laws Process all garnishments, paid time off, entry of direct deposit and employees federal, state, and local tax exemptions Process special payrolls (e.g.
bonuses, special pay, commissions) Communicate payroll information applicable to employees and Leaders Answer employees questions regarding pay Handle 401(k) loan payments and ensure compliance in all 401(k) deductions Identify payroll issues, work with Finance to communicate and resolve issues Implement duties / responsibilities as they relate to payroll compliance and reporting Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, including SOX compliance Provide payroll detail as needed for corporate federal and state income tax compliance Assist in the required government reporting Follow established policies and procedures for the payroll function; look for continuous improvements in the department processes Work with Human Resources as it relates to communicating necessary information or managing the flow of correct payroll information between the two functions Support external and / or internal audits as needed / required Assist with other projects as needed or assigned
