Summary:
Exciting opportunity to join the area’s largest Title Insurance and settlement company. Work as part of the title processing team and further hone your skills while on your way to becoming a professional in an exciting industry. As a closing processor, you will be responsible for preparing closing files that will be reviewed and signed at the closing table. You’ll work side-by-side with closers, lenders, insurance underwriters and sales agents as a key team member. This team backs each other up!
The position is responsible for processing files for the closing of residential and commercial real estate and mortgage transactions, including, but not limited to the following:
- Process, review for completeness and organize the closing file.
- Clear title issues with assistance of management and underwriting.
- Obtain and review documents to satisfy lien holders, including entity documents, trust documents, powers of attorney, corporate documents, etc.
- Manage and facilitate corrections to the title work or issues to help maintain a timely closing.
- Correspond with parties in the transaction.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
Experience:
- One to two years of real estate, mortgage, title or customer service experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Effective oral and written communication skills. Respond in a timely manner to customer emails and phone calls. Maintain high customer service levels with realtors, etc.
- Must be able to work efficiently, handle deadline pressures and work as a member in a team-oriented environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, with a customer service focus.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Must possess the ability to manage the expectations and tone of interactions with others.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Other (licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel, etc.):
- May occasionally work extra hours during peak times of the real estate market.
