POSITION SUMMARY The Information
Technology Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the oversight of all daily
maintenance and service of computer systems, equipment, software, and networks
for the organization. Must maintain
a working knowledge of current technology and its relevance to the long- term care and the retirement
industry. Additionally, the IT Infrastructure
Manager is responsible to keep the Director
of Information Technology informed
on all significant issues relevant
to his/her job responsibilities. 1.
Supports the mission; resident life, health, and wellness philosophy;
and the code of professional ethics
of BHI Retirement Communities, Inc. 2.
Understands and abides by the BHI Retirement Communities, Inc.
personnel policies, other policies and procedures which apply to his/her department. 3.
Reports known or potential violations of the residents rights policy,
resident abuse policy, professional ethics
statement, corporate compliance policy, HIPAA privacy policy, confidentiality
policy, anti-harassment policy, zero-tolerance workplace violence policy,
profanity in the workplace policy, time-keeping policy, and other policies and
procedures established by the corporation to the vice-president/CFO and/or president/CEO. 4.
Attends work as scheduled, maintains acceptable personal
appearance/hygiene, follows the designated
dress code policy, and keeps work area in neat, clean, and orderly condition. 5.
Understands and complies with job performance requirements. 6.
Demonstrates good judgment in the performance of job duties. 7.
Supports customer service efforts and initiatives while exhibiting
quality customer service behaviors. 8.
Demonstrates kindness, tact, and courtesy toward all residents, family
members, colleagues, outside vendors, and other visitors to the BHI Retirement
Communities, Inc. corporate office and/or facilities. 9.
Treats all matters concerning the corporation, facilities, staff, and

Responsibility for the oversight of overall daily operations which
includes resolving network issues, reviewing event logs, technical support and
coordinating issue resolution with contracted technology support partners.
Manages the Information Technology Network Administrator and IT Support
Specialists and maintains relationships with the external technology coordinators/vendors. 2.
Responsible for the oversight of setting up and maintaining security
features of the network. 3.
Communicates on a consistent basis with the community executive
directors, managers and staff regarding resolution of IT issues and training. 4.
Performs oversight of installation of hardware and software at the
server and desktop level. 5.
Primary oversight of hardware and software support to all BHI
communities and corporate office. 6.
Communicates with the Director of Information Technology regarding all
unresolved issues and changes with
major impact. 7.
Performs or oversees application software maintenance and updates as
approved by the Director of
Information Technology. 8.
Accurately maintains and gives oversight to the Comodo help desk
tracking system. 9.
Provides or oversees end user technology training in either a
one-on-one or small group setting and oversees all IT training sessions. 10.
Maintains a current level of operating system and hardware upgrades on
all network servers, desktop computers, network infrastructure, POS hardware
and printers. 11.
Assists the Director of Information Technology in developing ideas for
the implementation of new technologies at all BHI locations. Maintains
accurate/comprehensive project plans. Must be innovative in designing and
implementing new technologies. 12.
Ensures the Director of Information Technology is kept informed on all
significant issues that are relevant to his/her job responsibilities and the
welfare of the corporation. 13.
Provides other services and/or other duties as directed by the Director of Information Technology. At minimum, an
associate degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field of study, or five to seven years of successful work-related experience in IT Management is required. Education, knowledge and skill in all areas listed below is not necessary prior to employment, and some skills are
transferable with relatively little additional training. Candidate must be
willing to learn and enhance skills in needed areas. BHI will provide for
training opportunities as needed. Additionally, the employee must demonstrate
the following: ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in
writing; advanced computer
related skills; familiarity with basic/standard computer
systems and office equipment; and other skills as required. SKILL
REQUIREMENTS 1.
Knowledge of computers, servers, LANs & WANs, and wire/fiber optic cabling. 2.
Knowledge of, experience using or willingness to become knowledgeable
in the equipment and software used by BHI, e.g., computer hardware, Windows 10,
Great Plains Dynamics, SQL Server, Microsoft Power BI, Must have the ability to
learn and understand our electronic medical record / electronic health record
(EMR/HER) requirements, Microsoft O365 Suite, and other popular software and hardware. 3.
Must be willing to learn to maintain nurse call, wander management,
security camera and enterprise-wide
wireless network systems. 4.
Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Cisco VoIP, Cisco Meraki, and VMWare systems preferred. MCSE and/or VMWare
certification is desirable. 5.
Possess the ability to interact, work with, and train other staff effectively. 6.
