Position Summary
The Executive Director provides leadership and direction for the overall operations for our Franklin campus. The Executive Director (ED) fosters an environment of high customer satisfaction and ensures a quality-oriented and engaged workforce. The position ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and focuses on creating a safe working and living environment. The ED will be accountable for staff management, staff training and development, resident and family experience and satisfaction, resident occupancy management, regulatory and budget compliance, community leadership and sales and marketing activities to meet or exceed occupancy and revenue targets. The Executive Director actively promotes BHI’s mission and values in all daily interactions with team members, residents, and families.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate the community in accordance with BHI policies and federal, state and local regulations.
- Ensure outstanding attention to detail in resident care and wellbeing, manages adherence to resident rights.
- Develop operational budgets and capital requirements, including forecasting and approving all expenses.
- Develop and implement successful strategies regarding labor, occupancy growth, revenue growth, expense control, and quality of services, and review and redirect activity, if necessary.
- Regularly communicate performance with the Regional Vice President and Vice President of Operations.
- Build a high-performing team and keep employee engagement high. Develop, coach and provide regular feedback.
- Meet financial management requirements for the community.
- Actively participate in in-house sales activities, including prospective resident tours and special events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and Administrator’s license/certification per state requirements.
- Passion for working with seniors.
- 2-3 years prior experience as a General Manager, Executive Director, or Administrator within the long-term care industry.
- Demonstrated management experience with direct supervision of a team of at least 5, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and daily operations supervision.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of levels and personality types.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including deep familiarity with financial reporting and budgeting.
- Experience with sales and marketing, identifying and building local relationships to drive brand awareness.
- Computer proficiency, knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, and healthcare management software.
Salary based on experience $125k-$163k
