Primary Accountabilities:
The Construction Marketing Assistant will work closely with the marketing director and business development team to promote the company’s brand, support client engagement, and assist with proposal development. This role involves managing social media, coordinating events, creating marketing materials, and assisting with overall business development initiative.
Major Duties:
Marketing & Branding:
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness.
- Create and schedule content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Maintain and update the company website with recent projects, news, and team updates.
- Design marketing materials, including brochures, project sheets, newsletters, and advertisements.
Proposal & Content Development:
- Assist in preparing RFQs, RFPs, and qualifications packages for potential projects.
- Maintain a database of project descriptions, resumes, and marketing assets.
- Support content creation for case studies, blog posts, and press releases.
Event & Community Engagement:
- Assist with planning and coordinating industry events, trade shows, and sponsorships.
- Represent the company at networking events and community functions.
- Maintain relationships with industry partners, clients, and vendors.
Administrative & Support Tasks:
- Organize and maintain marketing files, project photography, and client databases.
- Track marketing metrics and provide reports on campaign effectiveness.
- Support internal communication efforts, including company newsletters and announcements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in construction, architecture, or real estate.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office, Web Design, Photography and Videography skills are a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, social media scheduling tools, and website content management.
- Strong writing, editing, organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to read computer screens, email, and talk on the phone.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Professional and deadline-orientated environment.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat and cold exposure.
The noise level in a work environment is usually low to moderate in the office and moderate to high in the field on a job site.
