Summary/Objective
The Cashier-Dietaryis responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the preparation of different type of food items, setting up for cafeteria service, and receiving cash payments for food.
Essential Job Duties

- Follow all rules of cash control including, but not limited to, input sales, give correct amount of change, process credit card and payroll deduct transactions correctly; as well as, being present for drawer balancing at the end of the shift and is responsible for the accuracy of their receipts and balance.
- Does not serve or display items that do not meet standards.
- Provides outstanding customer service by greeting customers and making eye contact while they are in line and thanking them as they leave.
- Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures and is aware of chemicals and the tasks for which they are designated; as well as knowing where to find SDS sheets and how to read them, reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Completes prep work each day for next shift and leaves work station clean organized and sanitized assuring that open product is dated and labeled correctly and follows safe food handling protocol.
Communicates effectively with customers and guests; as well as, coworkers and is able to handle stressful situations courteously, calmly and effectively, getting the supervisor involved if conflicts cannot be resolved.
