Summary/Objective
The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for proficiently operating a variety of imaging equipment and perform exams related to at least 2 different imaging modalities. This Clinical position requires skills and experience in the use of imaging equipment and procedures. The Multi-Modality Technologist must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

Act collaboratively with radiologist staff to provide appropriate procedure date and communicate effectively with technical/medical staff and others

Appropriately and complete enter required date into PACS/RIS.

Apply principles of general patient safety and radiation safety in all areas where ionizing radiation is using applying the ALARA concept, minimizing repeats, using safety devices, etc.

Maintain knowledge of imaging equipment and call for service after evaluating errors or problems.

Proficiently perform procedures in multiple departments and other areas as needed. Prepare patients appropriately for exams and commit to workflow and utilize infection control principles in performing exams.

Participate in clinical oversight of student trainees.
Required Education and Experience
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Required License/Certifications
Current certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) within 90 days
Must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 90 days
