What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional for Medically Intensive Program position at Bi-County Collaborative?
Paraprofessional positions support special education students by providing social and academic support as well as behavioral interventions and therapeutic strategies to enable students to meet their potential. The right person for this position is eager to work with elementary and middle school children, is dependable and committed to providing a positive learning environment that meets the students' individual needs. The right person is flexible and willing to learn through hands-on experiences, , professional development workshops and through consultation and observation with teachers, clinicians and specialists.
Intensive Paraprofessional: Duties include assisting students with medical, neurological, and physical disabilities in learning new skills, developing independence through AAC Devices (Augmentative alternative communication) for communication, assistive technology and facilitating activities of daily living.
