The Machine Technician will work closely with other technical staff to ensure optimal performance and safety of all machinery.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements and adjustments.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Work with high voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide customer service support related to machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Assist in the training of junior technicians on best practices for machine operation and safety.
- Support HVAC/R systems as needed, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Machine Technician or in a similar role within an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including the use of ammeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Experience in technical sales or customer service is a plus.
- Knowledge of militarized equipment or processes is advantageous.
- Background as an industrial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
