Job Summary:
The Procurement Coordinator supports the purchasing process by sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role involves maintaining accurate procurement records, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with internal teams to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:1. Purchasing & Sourcing
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Obtain and review supplier quotes, ensuring competitive pricing and terms.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) and track orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate favorable pricing and contract terms.
2. Inventory & Order Management
- Monitor stock levels and work with internal departments to determine purchasing needs.
- Ensure procurement aligns with demand planning and business objectives.
- Track orders, address delays, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
3. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
- Assist with audits and supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
4. Cost & Budget Management
- Assist in tracking procurement budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze purchasing trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Work with finance to reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
5. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, and pricing.
- Address supplier issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams such as logistics, finance, and operations to align procurement strategies.
- Communicate with stakeholders about order status, delays, or changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
