Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine detailed local media advertising forecast models that accurately reflect spending trends across various channels, including television, digital, radio, direct mail, out-of-home, and by business sector, using BIA's foundational forecasting methodologies.
- Design and implement quantitative forecast models and work with large datasets to extract valuable insights.
- Evaluate historical spending patterns, market conditions, and economic indicators to generate precise predictions and forecast industry-wide advertising expenditures.
- Create detailed quarterly and annual forecast reports that provide actionable business insights for BIA clients and C-suite executives.
- Presents strategic business analysis and insights to clients and stakeholders, leveraging your ability to translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations.
- Participate in industry conferences and engage with the press to share BIA's data and insights, establishing thought leadership in the media and advertising industries.
Technical Oversight:
- Cultivate new data sources and methodologies to continuously enhance BIA's forecasting frameworks and ensure they remain at the forefront of industry innovation.
- Maintain best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all forecasting outputs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in broadcast and/or digital media (Note: This is not a public communications or PR position).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling tools, as well as experience manipulating large datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with media mix modeling or marketing mix modeling.
- Familiarity with key advertising platforms.
- Knowledge of Nielsen, Comscore, or similar media measurement tools.
- Background in advertising, media planning, or marketing analytics.
- Familiarity with emerging AI tools.
