Position Description:

The Resource Teacher provides individualized instruction for students with learning gaps or issues, along with consultation and support for teachers and parents. It has the potential to evolve into a full-time role based on performance and the school’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all duties in accordance with the policies and goals of BBCA
• Demonstrates a positive, Christian attitude with students, parents, and colleagues
• Structures learning experiences to lead students into a growing relationship with Christ
• Reviews and interprets educational data
• Offers recommendations regarding the adaptation of curriculum and instruction
• Conducts formal and informal classroom observations and evaluations
• Confers with parents and educational personnel regarding individual students
• Develops educational plans and other documentation
• Develops written lesson plans designed to meet individual goals and objectives
• Provides instruction and supervision for students
• Identifies and shares appropriate community resources available to parents and educators
• Displays the ability to be an independent worker
• Communicates effectively with administration, colleagues, and parents
• Promptly submits required documentation to BBCA
• Assumes other duties as assigned by the administration

Qualifications:

• Teaching certificate with certification/endorsement in special education
• Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrates a Christ-centered lifestyle.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Administration find appropriate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
