As a Painter at Fellowship Community in Whitehall, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our facility's aesthetic appeal while ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents. Your responsibilities will include preparing surfaces for painting and carefully removing fixtures, followed by protecting areas with drop cloths and masking tape. You'll utilize scaffolding and ladders to reach new heights in your craft, selecting and applying paints with precision using brushes, rollers, or spray guns. Committed to excellence, you'll adhere to OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations while performing routine painting duties. You'll also demonstrate genuine concern and respect when responding to service requests, always showing appreciation for residents, their families, and staff members.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with practical experience in painting and a solid understanding of federal, state, and local skilled nursing regulations. Familiarity with OSHA and Life Safety regulations is essential to ensure safe work practices.
Strong basic computer skills are necessary for effective communication and task management. You must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, as well as the physical capability to push, pull, and position heavy objects. An understanding of geriatrics and long-term care is crucial, ensuring that your work reflects our RISE Core Values.
Finally, successful completion of the Fellowship Community Orientation and Pre-hire Assessment will set you up for success in our energetic and customer-focused environment.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- High school diploma/equivalent required.
- Knowledge of federal state and local skilled nursing regulations.
- Experience in painting required.
- Knowledge of OSHA and Life safety regulations.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to read write and speak English.
- Must be able to push pull move and position heavy objects.
- Must have an understanding of Geriatrics and Long-Term Care.
