Role Overview:
The Systems Analyst 3/Software Development position focuses on analyzing business objectives and operational issues to provide innovative software solutions. The role requires expertise in full-stack development, cloud technologies, and database management. Candidates will collaborate with organizational units to identify system requirements, perform cost/benefit analyses, and create detailed plans for developing or modifying computer programs. This position is integral to ensuring optimal system performance and achieving business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to identify solutions or improve current systems.
- Conduct cost/benefit analyses of alternative approaches to automation or system enhancement.
- Document detailed user needs, program functionalities, and steps for development or modification.
- Evaluate computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations.
- Develop, test, and maintain front-end and back-end software solutions.
- Utilize cloud technologies for web application development, leveraging AWS services.
- Troubleshoot and optimize database systems and ensure seamless integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement containerized applications.
- Address network and cloud-based connection issues.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
- 8 years: Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- 6 years (Preferred): Strong cloud experience.
- 4 years (Preferred): Front-end development using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and React JS.
- 4 years (Preferred): Back-end development using Python.
- 4 years (Preferred): Cloud web application development with AWS (AWS Amplify, AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, serverless services).
- 4 years (Preferred): Database development with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake).
- 4 years (Preferred): DevOps experience.
- 4 years (Preferred): Networking knowledge, including cloud-based network configuration.
- 4 years (Preferred): Experience with container technologies.
Other Requirements:
- 1 year (Preferred): Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- 1 year (Preferred): Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field.
Work Environment:
This position is hybrid, requiring local candidates who can work onsite in Austin, TX, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Remote work is allowed for three days per week.
