What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Foreign Language (Spanish) Teacher - Long-Term Substitute position at Biddeford Schools Department?
- Provides learning opportunities in one or more of the following areas: Foreign Language using the curriculum adopted by the District.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to provide customized, small and large group instruction.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to create a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Regularly assesses each student’s academic and social growth, maintains appropriate and timely records, and prepares progress reports.
- Conducting ongoing assessments of student learning and modifying instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including students with special needs
- Encouraging parental involvement in students' education.

Certification/License:
Certification in (420 or 440) from the Maine Department of Education
Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
Education:
Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
Masters Degree in related area preferred.
Experience:
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.
