Prepares student Individualized Education Plans : In consultation with parents and IEP team members, drafts, develops , and implements IEPs and transition plans with measurable goals.

Completes all special education paperwork accurately, according to regulations, and submits them on time.

Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.

(282 / 286)2. Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education Education : 1. Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.

Masters Degree in related area preferred.

Experience :

Experience with students with moderate and severe disabilities.

Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Support training is required.

Organizational skill and ability to lead a large team and work cooperatively with others.
