Big Bear Electrical Contracting is looking for a highly organized and proactive Shop Manager to keep our operations running smoothly. As the right hand to our Head Electrical Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in project staging, materials coordination, and delivery logistics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Head Electrical Mechanic in staging materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming projects
- Organize and maintain the shop and warehouse area to ensure fast, easy access to supplies
- Coordinate and complete timely delivery of materials to job sites as needed
- Track inventory and help restock items before they run low
- Perform basic equipment checks to ensure tools and machinery are in safe, working condition
- Support scheduling of deliveries and pickups with suppliers and vendors
- Maintain accurate logs for tool/equipment check-out and return
- Collaborate closely with field electricians, apprentices, and office staff to ensure jobs are properly supported
- Take initiative to identify and solve operational hiccups before they cause delays
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Prior experience in a shop, warehouse, or construction support role strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Clear communicator, both in person and via phone/text
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for material deliveries)
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and assist with loading/unloading
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated—you don't wait to be told what needs doing
- Familiarity with electrical supplies and job site logistics is a plus

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime as needed for project deadlines
