The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the procurement process within the organization. The coordinator works with various departments to ensure the procurement process runs smoothly, efficiently and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Locating product/equipment source, obtaining competitive pricing, checking availability and delivery time.
- Maintain product/equipment inventory for maintenance department repair, store orders (light equipment) and production ingredients.
- Equipment ordering for company/franchise, gathering information on pricing, availability and payment terms. Provides specifications and information to franchisees, when requested.
- Ordering printed materials, new and reprints, working with inter-departments or vendors as needed.
- New store opening equipment and small wares, works with construction schedules and company demands.
- Generate purchase orders for various departments, some require pricing and approval.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain procurement records and data in a centralized database
- Assist with budget preparation and monitor procurement expenditures
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS -
- At least 3 years of proven and successful experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Experience in procurement software and tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
