WORK SCHEDULE: Daytime, evenings, and some weekends

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California (BBBSCC) is a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through one-to-one mentoring relationships, serving Madera, Fresno, Tulare, and Kings counties. BBBS is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to keep our team running smoothly and efficiently. Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of BBBSCC. This position provides administrative support to the Director of Operations and other departments, ensuring efficiency in office management, communications, and scheduling. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
- Keep inventory, order and maintain office supplies and ensure a well-organized workspace.
- Support program staff with scheduling, event logistics, and outreach efforts.
- Assist in coordinating special events, fundraising activities, and community engagement initiatives.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, email communications, and social media inquiries.
- Prepare and organize supply bins for High School Bigs programs to ensure mentors and mentees have the necessary materials for sessions.
- Step in as a Program Assistant when needed to support program activities and operations.
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast past environment and focus on detail
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of administrative experience in a nonprofit or office setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, One Drive).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for youth mentorship and community service.
