Program Enrollment Specialist

Position Title: Program Enrollment Specialist
Location: Fort Walton Beach, Florida
Reports To: Vice President of Programs
Supervised by: Volunteers, Parents, & Children

Key Requirements:

• Self-Starter: Able to work independently, mostly in an office alone.
• Organized: Excellent time management and ability to multi-task.
• Public Speaking: Able to speak in front of groups for volunteer and child recruitment.
• Flexible Hours: Occasional weekends and evenings required.
• Reliable Transportation: Must be able to travel to children’s homes and for meetings/training in Pensacola.
• Professional: Representing Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) in the South end of Okaloosa.

Responsibilities:

• Volunteer & Child Enrollment: Handle initial contact, interviews, reference checks, and background checks. Match volunteers with children and support the match process.
• Support & Retention: Provide ongoing support to ensure successful volunteer-child relationships, focusing on safety and positive outcomes.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records and track progress in the program. Use technology to report data.
• Match Development: Organize and monitor matches, conducting regular assessments, and resolving issues.
• Community Engagement: Promote BBBS and encourage volunteer involvement.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field, or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Google Sheets. Strong communication skills and ability to manage details effectively.
• Experience: Customer service or volunteer coordination experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
