Job Purpose:
Are you passionate about ensuring healthcare providers meet the highest standards of excellence? As our Privileging and Enrollment Specialist, you will play a vital role in coordinating and maintaining the privileging and enrollment processes for our medical staff and providers. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to compliance will be key to our success.
You'll lead the privileging process by ensuring medical staff and providers are properly credentialed and meet regulatory standards, keeping us compliant with HRSA and FQHC requirements. You’ll also oversee provider enrollment to make sure that our health plans and processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the privileging and re-privileging process for medical staff and providers.
Serve as the main point of contact for providers during the privileging and enrollment processes.
Conduct thorough research and verification of provider applications.
Ensure all provider background checks and screenings are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate records of privileging and enrollment, ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Work closely with internal teams and external credentialing companies to ensure timely provider enrollment.
Monitor the status of applications and respond to inquiries from health plans or other external partners.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience in credentialing, privileging, or human resources is essential.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail.
Knowledge: Understanding of HRSA policies and procedures related to medical privileging is a plus.
Education: Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
Certification: NAMSS certification (CPMSM or CPCS) is a bonus or the willingness to obtain certification within one year.
