What are the responsibilities and job description for the Match Support Coordinator and HSLP Assistant position at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region?
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region is seeking a dedicated and motivated part-time Match Support Coordinator to join our team. This role supports both our Community-Based Program and the High School Leadership Program (HSLP), which operates on Monday mornings at two elementary schools in Schenectady. The ideal candidate will have flexibility in scheduling to balance both in-office and remote work, while ensuring the needs of the organization are met.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region, an established mentoring agency serving Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Saratoga counties. Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, education or related field. Experience in interviewing, assessing, and caseload management are a plus.

Job Duties:
- Maintain a caseload of matches within the community-based program. Providing support to youth, parents and volunteers.
- Work and collaborate with our Program Team members to reach the mission of our agency.
- Work as an Assistant Coordinator for the High School Leadership Program – held during the school year and held at two elementary schools within the Schenectady school district.
- Work with HSLP Coordinator to run program and maintain the mission.
- Identify and implement activities that foster and strengthen the match relationship
- Identify and implement strategic interventions to strengthen the match relationship
- Support volunteers and youth on site as often as possible. Provide timely and comprehensive written summaries of all contacts
- Maintain accurate paperwork and computer records for each match according to agency standards
- Establish and meet goals for match length and customer satisfaction using appropriate agency assessment tools
- Maintain and keep current records/data associated with site-based programs
- Other related duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
