big Burrito Restaurant Group is looking for a Catering Director to join our team. This position is eligible for a Monday-Friday hybrid and flex-time schedule, with in-office days based in our corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA. In addition, the Catering Director will work onsite in various locations to meet with clients and to plan, prepare for, and work at catering events.

The Catering Director is responsible for booking, planning, and executing catering events, providing impeccable customer service, and building the catering business.
- The Catering Director works to achieve company objectives in sales, service, and quality.
- The Catering Director builds business and liaises with current and potential customers, while developing budgets for all events.
- The Catering Director sets expectations for and ensures execution of all aspects of events planned.
- The Catering Director interviews, hires, and trains employees, and manages employee performance.
- The Catering Director oversees or executes administrative departmental responsibilities and ensures safety and compliance standards.
- The Catering Director leads by example and incorporates big Burrito Restaurant Group’s Guiding Principles in all that they do.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or culinary arts and at least 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry including 2 years in a relevant managerial role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Expert knowledge of service and food and beverage
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skils
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to use video conferencing platforms such as Zoom
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others in written and spoken English
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
- This position requires a criminal background check
- Must be at least 21 years old
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
- Ability to sit, stand, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
