Position Overview: The Grow Technician plays a crucial role in cultivation's day to day operations. From the vegetation stage through flowering, harvesting, drying, curing the cannabis. This role executes all cultivation protocols including planting schedules, propagation, pruning, cleaning, and harvesting tasks. Attention to detail is extremely important. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Champion company values and foster a culture of integrity, transparency, collaboration, and accountability
- Adheres to company mission statement and core values and maintains high ethical standards and professionalism in all interactions
- Ensure compliance with State law, specifically HRS 329-D and Chapter 11-850
- Responsible for the propagation, cloning, pruning, and harvesting cannabis, including the general care and maintenance of plants in all stages
- Maintain health in plants, daily walk through/check (wilted plants, dry, wet, etc)
- Responsible for physically transplant and moving plants within the cultivation facility, as needed
- Responsible for pest preventive measures and pest control; keeping an eye out for pests and implementing corrective actions and pest management techniques when needed
- Follow clean-room cultivation protocols, including maintaining limited access areas within the cultivation facility
- Ensure accurate and compliant tracking and reporting of all cannabis materials and waste
- Responsible for regularly assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Manage cannabis plants and identify problems or deficiencies
- Required to maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Must have knowledge of growing techniques such as germination, cloning, and flowering, and apply this knowledge on a daily basis
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), take direction, have a strong attention to detail, and daily demonstrate a willingness to work together as a team
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED), preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older, required.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the cannabis industry, preferred.
- Must pass a Department of Health (DOH) background check and maintain clearance, required.
- Basic knowledge of cannabis cultivation techniques; one year experience within the cannabis industry is highly desired
- Firm understanding of HRS 329-D and HAR 11-850; or willingness to gain a firm understanding; and ability to maintain cannabis related knowledge by completing continuing education courses
- Participate with development trainings hosted by the company
The Location and Hours:
Located in the surrounding Hilo area.
Fulltime works hours Monday to Friday (with usual partial days on Fridays)
